Romantic Gifts

1

Perhaps it’s an anniversary. Maybe it’s your beloved’s birthday. Or maybe there is no occasion at all, and you just feel the urge to let your loved one know how much he or she means to you. Any time can be the right time to lavish romantic gifts on your loved one.

Romantic gifts don’t have to be large or expensive. A single rose, left on the table, with a note that says “thinking of you” won’t drain your life savings, but gain you some equity in your beloved’s heart. On the subject of flowers, as long as you’re sure it’s appropriate a their workplace, a bouquet greeting them at work may be a charming surprise. When it comes to bouquets, you can think outside the box sometimes and give combinations or rare or exotic flowers. If you give flowers often, change things up both in terms of timing and the actual selection of flowers in order to keep it fresh and surprising.

Another excellent, yet simple and inexpensive gift is a greeting card expressing your feelings. If you have a talent for drawing, or poetry or both, consider making your own greeting card. If you are shy about telling your beloved exactly how you feel, you can choose a greeting card made by someone else or a poem written by someone else. There have been some truly great poets over the ages, and a great many of them have been keenly interested in the mysteries of love.

Ever dreamed of relaxing on a secluded tropical beach with your beloved? Why not do it? After all, what gift could be more romantic than a holiday get away with your loved one? Best of all, you get to share it with him or her. When choosing a destination, think about where your beloved has expressed interested in going, or places he or she might have let you know they’ve always dreamed of going. Also think of things your loved one likes to do. If he or she is an avid skier, and you’re not, a skiing holiday might be as dazzling as it is surprising. You don’t even have to do much skiing yourself if you find you haven’t taken a fancy to it, you can just bask in your lover’s affections while warming yourself in the ski lodge. Remember to take lots of pictures, as you’re not merely going on holiday, you’re creating memories you intend to last a lifetime.

An obvious, but ever-romantic gift, is jewellery, with the most romantic of all being the engagement ring. Before offering an engagement ring, however, you might want to test the waters and make sure it will be well received. Otherwise, rather than a romantic moment, it could be an embarrassing and awkward moment at best. Also, if you’re going to go all the way and give an engagement ring, consider making an event that will create memories to last a lifetime out of it. Remember, you only get to do it once.
