Even though it is not always expected, bringing along a small token of your appreciation for your hostess is a nice gesture. Traditionally, a box of chocolates, a bouquet of flowers, and even a small bottle of wine were the first options selected. Today, however, an entire medley of cute and clever ideas exists for hostess gifts.

Gifts that begin with an attractive wicker basket are quite popular. In fact, these often make the best gifts since they can be filled with so many different items that you are bound to fall upon something your hostess will appreciate. Of course, the ever-popular basket of fruit makes a colourful display and is often shared with the guests.

Your hostess is sure to appreciate the thought as well as the opportunity to indulge.

If you or your hostess aren’t into wicker baskets, lots of other options are out there as well. Consider a flowerpot as your holder and fill it with any number of things ranging from assorted garden tools to packets of flower seeds and new gloves to small lawn ornaments. Purchase a recipe box and fill it with gourmet spices or unique kitchen tools.
