Baby’s First Christmas Gift
First Christmas for baby is always a special event even though the baby is clueless to what is going on. Baby will never remember that special time but surely you will want to make it great. Mums and dads always have a tendency to buy presents for babies on this day so maybe it is a good idea to make them something personal that will last until a time when baby can remember how thoughtful you were to ensure that they were special on that day.
Keepsake or personalised gifts are great! Baby’s first Christmas baubles, bibs, booties, or mugs make great memorabilia’s. The times will seem magical for the whole family but with a new baby in the house there are extra reasons to celebrate. Some people like to buy personalised toys for the new baby and stockings. Don’t forget as part of baby’s first Christmas to create that picture album that includes all of the treasured photos of that special Christmas.
Regardless, new parents always want to go extravagant on new baby’s and spend oodles of money on them, and even wrap them all beautifully just to open them themselves later and then put it away somewhere for safe keeping. Parents seem to search for baby’s perfect present but the question is do they ever really find it? What is the perfect gift for a person that doesn’t even know what a present is?
Alright so many it is senseless to buy the new baby a bunch of gifts, it is harmless fun. This is a good time actually for a few different gift giving ideas. What a great time to start buying the new baby stocks and bonds, especially when they don’t understand what a present is yet. It is also a good time to start a special collection of Disney items, a doll collection, or even a teddy bear collection and then add to it yearly.
Many like to begin a storybook collection for baby at a very early age so that there is a nice collection built up by the time baby is ready to read, there will be a nice display started. Other people are likely going to buy the fancy Christmas clothes, the rattles, the booties, and the one of many baby blankets that you can add to your collection.
Another nice idea is to buy a porcelain figurine or music box each holiday, label the first one as Baby’s First Christmas, Baby’s Second Christmas, and so on. Anything that can be turned into a collectible is a good place to begin. Can you remember those handprints that you probably made in school out of clay? Why not start them for baby’s first Christmas and although they are really not considered a gift to baby in the technical sense, they will enjoy comparing the collection when they grow up.
Just get a little creative when it comes to baby’s first Christmas gifts, think outside of the box and you are sure to aim to please. There really is no way that you can go wrong.
